Island Camp

Island Camp is accessible by a hanging bridge on an island in the middle of the Limpopo River. It is an exclusive hideaway situated in the Kwa Tuli Private Game Reserve, in Botswana's Tuli Block.

Island Camp consists of four tents that can accommodate two guests each. Three of the tents offer twin beds while the third tent contains a double bed. The bathrooms consist of slipper baths and large outdoor showers. We provide bedding, bath towels, soap and toilet paper for convenience.

Private viewing decks allow guests to view the wildlife that visits the surrounding river. Guests can enjoy their meals around the boma under the stars and camp attendants will tend to your every need. A kitchen, dining room and a lounge with a built-in fireplace are also available and we provide all wood. There is no cellular signal at the camp, however communication facilities are available at the reception, should you require them.

Island Camp offers guests a choice of booking on a fully catered, self-catering or self-drive option. With the fully catered option, all meals and game drives are included and guests can also do self-drives. For self-catering, guests can make use of the kitchen which has a gas stove and fridge-freezer facilities. We light the boma every night for outdoor cooking. For self-drives, we provide a map and guests can book game drives at an additional charge.

Kwa Tuli Private Game Reserve is home to almost 400 species of birds, as well as antelopes, lions, leopards and cheetahs. Guests can go on walks, bird-watching or fishing and they also have the chance to view the famous Tuli Elephants, Giant Mashatu Trees, 2,000 year-old baobabs, the oldest exposed rocks on the planet and stunning landscapes.
