On arrival we were whisked away to a "booze cruise" and braai in their car -- to our astonishment and pleasure. The hosts were welcoming in the extreme, friendly and competent ... it was a home from home for the one night we stayed -- a terrific breakfast on the stoep overlooking the mountains and valley. It was fabulous, our hosts we incredibly friendly and helpful. They gave us lots of their time without invading our space. The cottage was very comfortable and had everything we needed, the kids loved the playstation.

A bit about this place
Impangele lies near the base of the Langeberg mountain range. This guest house is well equipped to cater for every traveller's needs, and has been adapted to provide maximum ease and comfort for any disabled visitors.
It offers superb accommodation, furnished in tasteful contemporary African style, and boasts a peaceful indigenous garden, with mountain views. Your hosts, David and Amanda Shackley, will warmly welcome you to their beautiful home in Swellendam, the third oldest town in South Africa.
Rooms in the main house:
The en-suite rooms are beautifully furnished in contemporary African style.
There is television, the facility to make fresh African coffee and tea, and, when available, tasty home made treats!
Breakfast on the veranda overlooking the Langeberg mountains, enjoy the garden.
Hikes of varying length and difficulty – from 2 hours to 6 days!
The flower route is fabulous in March and April.
