Description

Listen to the Fish Eagles calling as you unwind in secluded and spacious African thatched rondavels. Soak up the warmth of the sun around the pool or pamper yourself in the sauna. Idle & Wild is located on a working farm; the Sabie River runs through our property and peaceful walks can be enjoyed by all guests.

Each rondavel is privately set in a subtropical garden and has its own kitchenette, veranda and braai/barbecue area. The Honeymoon Rondavels have air-conditioning, private spa baths and views over the garden, mountain and dam.

The rooms adjoin the main house and each has a lounge area with a TV, a bathroom en-suite, air-conditioning and a kitchenette. The rooms have two separate entrances, one entrance is close to reception and the other is set in a private courtyard with braai facilities. The Sunbird Room also has a small room containing a double bunk bed and its own toilet and basin.

A full English breakfast is served on the veranda and should you wish to make an early start for the Kruger National Park, a packed breakfast will be provided.

Idle & Wild is ideally situated for a rejuvenating break in the heart of nature, or exploring the surrounding areas such as Kruger National Park, God's Window, Bourke's Luck Potholes, Pilgrims Rest and the many waterfalls.

Hot air ballooning, game drives, horse riding, Skyway Trails, hikes, bass fishing and cycling are just some of the activities in the area and a wide variety of good restaurants are close by. We also offer quad bike trails and river rafting on site.

Location: We are ideally situated for exploring the surrounding areas such as Kruger National Park, God's Window, Bourke's Luck Potholes, Blyde River Canyon, Pilgrim's Rest and the many waterfalls.

Great Outdoors: There are quad bike trails and river rafting on-site. Top class golf courses, hot-air ballooning, horse riding, fishing, night and day game drives, Shangana Cultural Village and hikes are only some of the activities nearby to enjoy.

Honeymoon Romance: The Honeymoon Rondavel overlooking the dam is ideal for a romantic getaway; with a private spa-bath and braai area. Listen to fish eagles calling.

Relaxation: Listen to the fish eagles calling as you soak up the warmth of the African sun and relax around the pool, or pamper yourself in the sauna or Jacuzzi.

Our split-level cottage is ideal to accommodate four people. The main bedroom has a queen-size bed and en-suite bathroom. The bedroom upstairs has two single beds and en-suite bathroom. There is an open-plan lounge with a fireplace and fully equipped kitchen, which opens onto a veranda overlooking the valley, from where you can marvel at the beautiful sunsets and mountain views.

It has an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower, air-conditioning and a lounge area with TV in the room.
