Spacious

We stayed at chalet 1. Chalets were spacious and clean. Bathrooms and kitchen were also in very good condition and well maintained.

We had a fun evening at Houtbosdorp. Thomas looked after us very well and was great entertainment! Don't forget to vist the 'Ale House' down the road for brilliant pizza and delicious homemade beer.

Houtbosdorp is very rustic, quite basic yet conveniently situated for a day and evening out at the nearby Irish Ale House. It can be freezing in the middle of winter, so bring an extra blanket or sleeping bag, but at other times of the year, like now in March, there is no problem. Thanks to Thomas the landlord for having us.

My partner and I enjoyed the atmosphere and the serenity around Houtbosdorp. It offered us some time to bond again away from the hustle and bustle of hectic city life. We loved it and she is already making plans to return for a longer stay.
