Knysna Houseboat Myrtle

The perfect way to kick off our holiday after a long year. Relaxing on the deck with a book and good fishing was peaceful bliss!! Thanks to the "Captain" Julia for her kind reception. We had a blast. We will definitely be going to sweet Myrtle again. Don't change anything, you have a winner!

The best way to relax is to go on Myrtle.

I stayed for two nights on the houseboat. Really enjoyed the stay, very unusual. Being a houseboat you need accept there will be things you won't get that you get in a hotel room. Saying that I was surprised how well supplied it was. Each time the current changed so did your view. It was very stable with little movement unless a speed boat went past too fast. (Rare event though). The small boat used to get youth and from the harbour was easy to use the quick lesson from Julia belaid any issues. Perfect place for a sunset and cocktail.

Myrtle is such a lovely boat (with a very friendly captain!). We enjoyed our stay very much and can only say: it was too short. There is so much to do around Knysna and we can recommend to plan some extra days if you stay here to spend just on the boat: relax and just be!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had a braai on the deck and the sunset views make for unforgettable memories. the dingy rides to and from shore on the choppy water can be quite thrilling. The kitchen is more than adequately supplied. The fireplace looked very welcoming but it was not cold enough to make use of.
