Hopefield was founded on the banks of the Zoute River in 1853 and was originally developed as a church community. The town is situated on the R45, only 130 km from Cape Town, in the heart of the Cape West Coast Peninsula with spectacular displays of wild flowers in and around town.
Hopefield Lodge offers the true luxury of peace and quiet and the ideal setting to rejuvenate your soul. As a family-run business we assure professional service with a personal touch.
Activities in and around Hopefield include hiking, 4x4 trails, bird watching, and various nature reserves, and there is also a small museum with a fossil display at the Tourism Bureau.
