Slightly elevated above the green orchards of the farm, Hopefield Country House offers unobtrusive views of the natural beauty of the Sundays River Valley. The magnificent lawns with blue swimming pool are flanked by colourful flowerbeds frequented by various species of birds. The homestead offers spacious areas in which to relax whilst listening to the sounds of everyday country living or maybe even a favourite classical music piece on CD from our vast collection.

For those guests lucky enough to be staying over at the time of one of our frequent classical music soirées Hopefield Country House offers an opportunity to hear beautiful music performed in a magical setting by some of the best local and nationally acclaimed artists.

Real country luxury and relaxation - excellent service and food

We stayed for two nights in a generously sized room, tastefully decorated and air-conditioned. The linen was superb (down duvet if I'm not mistaken) and the bed was very comfortable. But the best part by far was the superior service and the wonderful food. A really highly recommended place to unwind where you are treated like guests, not clients.

We had a wonderful time at Hopefield Country House and Guest Farm. Kobus and Gerhart are most attentive hosts with great senses of humour. The food is delicious and we cannot see why anyone would choose to go elsewhere for dinner when you can have Gerhart as your chef, the choice of great wines and soothing classical music playing in the background. Having stayed three nights in the Hopefield guest-house, we found there such a warm and hearty welcome that we felt at home immediately. The rooms are large and very nicely decorated, the bathrooms spacious and perfect. A real dream is the garden and the pool-area! The two charming house-owners also serve dinner on request, the kitchen is 5-stars, even for european tastes! Just to feel well all around!
