Hoopoe Haven is a small and peaceful country guest house, situated in beautiful Chartwell, but it is just a stones throw away from Montecasino, Dainfern golf course, 3 shopping malls, Lanseria and live theatre just to name a few highlights. Hoopoe Haven is positioned on 2 acres of landscaped gardens in the countryside with Horse trails and a beautiful view of the Magaliesburg Mountains . It is a place to relax and unwind in the peace and quiet of the countryside. One can watch the magnificent birdlife, (over 50 different bird species have been spotted here, including guinea fowl, plovers, hoopoes, barbets and shrikes to name a few) while you have a sundowner or a braai on the patio or a cooling swim in our crystal clear pool, with a beautiful sunset in the background. If you decide to stay up late on a clear evening you may even be lucky enough to hear the roar of the lions from the lion park. The guest house is a beautiful brand new thatch house with luxurious finishing including sandstone tiles, cherrywood cupboards, granite counter tops and quality furniture, designed for comfortable living. Facilities include two bar areas, upstairs braai and patio area, swimming pool, luxury lounge, ADT security and electric fencing and DSTV in all rooms. A well equipped self-catering two bedroom cottage is also available. With all these luxuries one would expect to pay the earth, but the rates at Hoopoe Haven are extremely affordable Guests are encouraged to view this house as their home-from-home, and are given full use of the lodge to share with fellow quests. This includes: A comfortable lounge with DSTV. Upstairs bar and braai (gas) entertainment area with a lovely view of the surrounding countryside and the magnificent sunsets. Spacious family room upstairs to socialize with family, guests or for some peace and quiet. A large fully-equipped kitchen is available for your use. At this point unfortunately breakfast is not included. A crystal clear swimming pool. All rooms are fully serviced. Laundry can be provided at extra cost.

This is a lovely cottage on our own premises next door to the hoopoe haven guest house.
It is absolutely ideal for the family unit of 2 adults plus 2 or 3 children
it i not really suitable for 4 adults as the bathroom is en-suite
It consists of
• A large double bedroom with a queen bed
• An en-suite bathroom with a shower
• A large fully equipped kitchen with everything you may need to cook with.
• The open plan area consists of
o 2 huge gum pole bunk beds in the open plan area for the children
o A dining area
o A lounge with full tv coverage of mnet, tv1,2,3, etv and piped Dstv satellite and dvd player
• It is fully secure with trellidoor gates and panic alarm as well as electrified fence and electronic gates around the premises
The cottage has it’s own 1000 sq metre garden with garden furniture for you to relax on while you braai your food and your kids play hide and seek in thegarden.
In addition you can view, from the lounge window, the 4:30pm feeding frenzy when we have literally hundreds of birds feeding on our bird trays
