Hobatere Lodge is a concession area privately run by Steve and Louise Braine for the past 16 years. Hobatere offers a taste of the wilderness, with free roaming animals such as elephants, lions, cheetah and leopard on an area of 32 000ha.
The lodge has 12 thatched rooms and bungalows nestled between large mopane trees. Home cooked meals are served on the verandah within an indigenous garden.

Participate there is a swimming pool with a game viewing deck overlooking a waterhole where elephants are often seen. There is also a game viewing hide
overlooking a water hole (approximately 300m from the lodge) and a small terrarium with various local reptiles and a private indoor garden.
For the more adventurous the lodge is situated within easy day trip reach to Opuwo,where a local community based guide can be arranged to escort you to the
indigenous Himba tribe.For a special treat there is a unique rustic two-bedded tree house overlooking a
Waterhole, where one can overnight and experience the nocturnal sounds of Africa.
