Facilities

A great escape for the mind, body and soul, the recently released Highlands Mountain Retreat is a luxury camp in Golden Gate that has certainly been worth the wait. It is home to eight log cabins nestled in the foothills of Golden Gate that can each accommodate four families of four, and four log cabins that can each accommodate two guests.

Waking up and see The Best View ever is what the retreat is all about. Absolutely must do again. But also some negatives.... - Even in November the cabin is cold - Not enough light in the kitchen to really see what you are cooking.

The wooden cabins are great with a lot of facilities and great views. Our stay was too short. At least two nights would be ideal. Be sure to visit the vulture feeding nearby.

The cabins are wonderful with great views. Our stay was superb, but too short. At least two nights would be ideal here. Be sure to visit the vulture feeding project nearby the chalets.
