Situated in upper High Street, High Corner is within easy walking distance of numerous restaurants and coffee shops, Rhodes University, the High Court, museums and businesses.

Enjoy unpretentious hospitality in this meticulously restored, historical home which comprises the oldest cottage in Grahamstown (built in 1814) and was formerly home to District Surgeon Dr John Atherston as well as author, poet and playwright Professor Guy Butler. The Guest House boasts a yellow wood staircase and floors, original oregon pine panelling, high ceilings and generous rooms graced with Cape antiques and original art. Accommodation is provided in six beautifully furnished bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom and, not forgetting modern comforts, heated towel rails, air conditioning, satellite television, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryers and digital safes. Guests have use of the elegant lounge, vine-covered patio and salt water swimming pool, on-site beauty clinic (by appointment only) and secure off-street parking behind beautiful old stone walls.

Laundry facilities on request. Children welcome by arrangement. Internet access
