We stayed 1 night at the Hide-Away guest house in May 08. On arrival our hosts greeted us in the car park and then spent time with us asking us about our journey and informing us on things to do in and around Knysna. This was a really nice touch. Our room was clean with great views over the lagoon. The only fault with Hide-Away was the noise from the N2 (approx 200 yds down the hill). This was only heard when the balcony doors were open so is only a minor grumble.

We were welcomed with warm towels to wash our hand and face with, made to feel very welcome in their establishment, offered assistance on places to go, things to see, but were not made to feel that they were in any way intruding. Breakfast was superb. and the room was comfortable and clean. On offer are a total of seven luxuriously appointed rooms. Five rooms in the Guest House which comprise of two executive rooms on the ground floor and three superior rooms on the first floor which offer fantastic views of the lagoon and Knysna Heads. Two additional rooms without views are located in the Main House.
Each tastefully decorated bedroom is en-suite with five rooms flowing out onto timber decks that overlook the Knysna Lagoon and majestic 'Knysna Heads'. All rooms have television, fans, heaters, hairdryers, gowns and a fully stocked mini-bar and tea/coffee making facilities. Telephone and Internet services are available at Reception.
Outdoor activities include swimming, bird watching, boating, canoeing, fishing and plenty more, while rainy days will see you in restaurants and shops, viewing wildlife and the amazing scenery on the many drives.
