Facilities

Herbertdale Guest House is situated in the small town of Kokstad, in the heart of East Griqualand. The property is located within a short drive from the centre of town, making it ideal for business travellers or families looking for a breakaway.

The guest house offers Single Rooms, Double Rooms or Family Rooms, each with a private bathroom with a shower. Two of the rooms also have baths and each room is equipped with a TV with DStv, as well as tea and coffee facilities and Wi-Fi Internet access.

Guests are served a full English or Continental breakfast and á la carte menus are available for dinners on request. All meals are served in the dining area, braai facilities are available on the front patio and under-cover parking is available behind a gate.

Kokstad is popular for its many rivers and dams, and provides ample opportunity for trout fishing, angling or boating. Guests can visit Mount Currie, Wilfred Bauer or the Mountain Lake Nature Reserve which all provide wonderful walks and are ideal for the bird lovers with over 220 species to be seen.

There was no dinner, but good breakfast. Wifi works only in the main house. I would come again.

We recieved friendly service from both Kobus and his team. The rooms were clean and most importantly homely. Definately value for money. Will definately stay here again next time we are that side of the world.
