Hawks Rest is an upmarket Bed and Breakfast and self-catering facility set in the leafy suburb of Gillitts in the western suburbs of Durban. We offer the discerning business or leisure guest a warm, private and friendly retreat, which is incredibly easy to find being conveniently located just off the M13 highway and the N3 freeway. Hawks Rest is also in close proximity to all the private schools in the area, as well as the Kloof Country Club and Golf Course, shopping malls, restaurants, medical centres, and a golf driving range.

Hawks Rest offers seven comfortable rooms, each equipped with DStv, tea and coffee-making facilities, hairdryers, heaters, extra blankets, and heated blankets. The rooms are serviced daily and guests are offered an individual choice of a full cooked breakfast.

Features include a swimming pool, two thatched entertainment areas and secure off-street parking with individual access control to the property. We also offer laundry washing and ironing, shoe cleaning, car wash and valet, babysitting, car hire, airport transfers and office facilities including fax, phone, photocopier, scanner and Internet.

Theresa and Brian are very friendly hosts/hostesses. On arrival our rooms were ready and the parking on their modified tennis court at the back of the house was both ample and secure. The breakfasts were according to our previous selections the night before and were always on time. The environment is a friendly, homely atmosphere with the added comfort of having a main security gate for which each guest is given their own remotes for the duration of their stay. We spent only one night at Hawks rest, but it was really pleasant! The house is really lovely as were the bedrooms. Brian receive us very kindly, made us feel like at home and help us for the continuation of our trip. Thank you!
