Harbour House

Such a comfortable, serene and homely accommodation venue. Idyllic setting overlooking the Mediterranean-style Simon's Town harbour and False Bay coastline. We even joked with the friendly owners that we'd like to buy the space. An attic apartment set up in a way that you're hardly aware of the owners occupying the main house just below. Really good bank for your buck!

What a wonderful five days we spent at Harbour House, Simons Town. Ros was the perfect host and the apartment was just as described, immaculate and with staggering views over the Bay and Naval Base. Very safe and secure and a stone's throw from the charming village of Simons Town. We will definitely be making a return soon.

Very comfortable and spacious enough for all four of us. The pics on website is exactly what it looks like - which is very nice ( usually pics better than actual, but not the case here). Harbour House definitely met our expectations. Ros also thought of all the little things that added to the comfort e.g. hairdryer, and "starter goodies" in the fridge. We visited South Africa 2 years ago and visited Simon's Town ( ST ) and felt it would be a good base from which to visit Cape Town, Cape Point etc. It far exceeded our expectations both as a town and in the cottage. There is a frequent and safe one hour train journey to the centre of CT at a return fare of less than £ 2.00, ST has a number of excellent shops, good fish restaurants and good parking. It is central to a number of small coastal towns and has Cape of Good Hope and the Penguin colony just down the road. The cottage was a real delight. Well stocked, light and airy with superb views over the most interesting naval dockyard and sea, Paul and Ross were fantastic hosts and we are in the process of booking for next year, A really memorable 7 day stay, The location makes it easy to walk into town (5 minutes) and we particularly enjoyed the food and atmosphere in Salty Seadog restaurant in the harbour
