Hampshire House

Wonderful breakfasts. Everything was immaculately clean, and well run. Superb accommodation and nothing was ever too much trouble. A very useful, most informative and well written folder was available in each room. The garden is lovely and the pool beautiful, but unfortunately we did not make use of the pool because of time constraints. However, we did sit outside in the garden, which was very tranquil and enjoyable. Lovely atmosphere throughout, and Carole and Ricky are very charming and thoughtful hosts. The bathroom was beautifully appointed and the room was very comfortable, with the use of a CD player with some CDs, as well as a television.

Fantastic hosts, best breakfast in Cape Town...but rooms are getting a bit tired and some are a bit small.....could do with some refurbishment. Falling a bit behind the standard being set by other 4* guesthouses in South Africa. We have truly enjoyed our stay at Hampshire House. The accommodation is close to Cape Town, but offers the relaxing atmosphere of the country. Rooms are good and very clean. The owners are very helpful and their great sense of humor makes one feel at home from the first moment: we really felt good about this place from the very first minute. It's a place we would recommend to anybody.

Ten friends from Iceland stayed at the Hampshire House in November 2005. Everybody was extremely satisfied. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable and the breakfast was par excellence. The location is beautiful in the fantastic Constantia Valley. Last and not least was the hospitality of the owners, always ready and willing to help arranging all sorts of things for us. We recommend the Hampshire House sincerely.
