Facilities

Strategically located halfway between Okaukuejo and Namutoni, Halali Camp is situated at the base of a dolomite hill, among shady Mopane trees in the world-renown Etosha National Park. Etosha is approximately six hours from Windhoek by road. The road is good tarmac and can easily be driven in one day.

Visitors can view the flood-lit waterhole from an elevated vantage point which attracts exceptional wildlife throughout the day and well into the night.

Accommodation is provided in family chalets, two and four Bed Bush chalets and Double Rooms. All chalets and rooms have large sliding doors that open out onto the outside patio, which allows visitors to experience and benefit from the peace and tranquility of the natural surroundings. Other facilities include a restaurant, a bar, a shop, a swimming pool, a kiosk and camping facilities.

One of the largest savannah conservation areas in Africa, Etosha National Park is famous for its spectacular variety of roaming wildlife. Elephant, black and white rhinoceros, lions, leopards, cheetahs, large herds of springbok, zebra, wildebeest, giraffe and a multitude of other fascinating species can be viewed in their natural environment.

We spent two nights at Halali, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The game drive at night was good, our guide Gabriel was very informative. Our comfort was seen to with ponchos and drinks. The only complaints of the three rooms we had, each had a cupboard door missing or damaged, our coffee and tea were not replaced and one room not serviced as they had lost the key. Another complaint, they only offer a buffet at night which was pricey. BUT the food was good especially the gooey chocolate mousse and slices. Good time was had by all!
