We stayed in a nice rondavel not far from the swimming pool and the restaurant. The manager is very friendly and helpful and makes you feel at home. Gweta Lodge organises interesting excursions into the pans. The guides are very skilled and friendly. We can recommend Gweta Lodge very much.
We had the family room or apartment which was quite nice, however outside there was an unnecessary diesel smell. A fridge in the room was missing. But bottom line, for one night this was ok. Room was clean and tidy. No complaint. Food was ok too, not outstanding which shouldn't be expected here. The village is dusty but people are friendly. We can recommend this for an overnight stay.
The lodge is situated in a very strategic point in Botswana, just close to the salt pans and kilos away from Okavango Delta. It is really a nice place. There is no TV in the room, no radio, its the place you visit looking for quiet quality time. The owner/manager though had not enough time to talk to us, he was too busy with big groups even when we requested to talk to him. We needed to do a salt pans tour.
