Facilities

A family homestead for 64 years, this friendly guest house, scenically perched on 28 hectares of rolling green hills in the farming district of Agatha, 16kms above Tzaneen, overlooks the magnificent Wolkberg mountains, forests and waterfalls. Abundant bird life - you may see small game. Hike to the dam, relax by the secluded pool or visit the numerous scenic attractions in our area. Unwind in front of the roaring log fire in winter, enjoy a friendly chat in our cosy pub and then a delicious prearranged dinner. Here you will find genuine hosts who go that extra mile to make your stay a memorable one! 3 kms of farm road. Cell coverage usually limited to outdoors.

I would like to add the warmest Thank You to Richard and Joyce for a lovely stay in the Snuggery at Granny Dot's between 10 June 2012 and 14 June 2012. Thank you for your kindness and hospitality! I realy enjoyed the stunning views, fire place, avos, fresh air and the visits at the bar. Highly recommended!

Wat n verassing was dit nie toe ons saterdag 4 junie 2011 gearriveer het by Granny Dot's nie! Stunning uitsig, pragtige verblyf, vinger-lek-lekker ontbyt en eienaars wat nie genoeg kan doen om jou verblyf onvergeetlik te maak nie! Die klein ekstra dinge wat vir jou gedoen word sonder dat jy daarvoor vra! Tee en heerlike krummelkoek wanneer jy daar kom, sjerrie in die kamer om te help on die koue te verdryf! Ek het my vier-maande-oue maltese hondjie, Lucy, saamgeneem. Tot sy het tuis gevoel! Beslis 'n plek wat ons weer sal besoek en alreeds aanbeveel het aan baie! Dankie Joyce en Richard vir al jul gasvryheid en harde werk. What a surprise when we arrived at Granny Dot's on Saturday, 4 June. Stunning view, beautiful accommodation, finger licking breakfast and owners that couldn't do enough to make your stay unforgettable. The small extras you receive without asking are great. Tea, shortbread and sherry on arrival drives away the cold instantly! I took my four-month-old puppy, Lucy, with and even she felt at home. Definitely a place we will visit again and have already recommended it to many! Thank you, Joyce and Richard, for your hospitality and hard work.

This self-catering house has three bedrooms, sleeping up to six guests in single and double beds. The main bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with shower, the two other rooms share a bathroom with shower, bath and separate toilet. There is a big lounge and dining area with a roaring log fire for those chilly nights and the full package DStv. The small kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, stove and microwave. Linen and towels are supplied and the unit can be serviced on request. There is a braai area, undercover garage for two vehicles and we are pet friendly. The entire house would be for your own personal use.
