This gem of South Africa is set on the gentle slope of Paarl Rock Mountain overlooking working vineyards and rugged mountains. The gracious and lavishly restored 18th century Manor House and its sprawl of individually decorated suites are a gentle alternative to the hurly-burly of big life. It is the hotel’s subtle attention to detail that sets it apart from the rest.
On-premise activities include two flood-lit tennis courts, two outdoor swimming pools and a fitness centre with sauna, steam bath and qualified on staff masseur; several championship golf courses are within easy reach; driver guides can also be arranged for sightseeing/winery tours.
The suites and rooms are luxuriously appointed and are equipped with air-conditioning, heating facilities, mini bar, radio and satellite TV in the lounge as well as in the bedroom, direct dial telephone, fax facility optional. All ceilings with visible thatch or reed covering in traditional style.
All bathrooms are fitted with heated towel rails, gowns, radios and telephone, separate bath and shower facilities and 2 wash basins.
Children are welcome. Airport transfers on request.
The Hotel is closed for annual renovations from 01 June - 31 August.

The Wine Cellar of bygone days has been graciously restored into unique Junior suites. The character has been retained with the use of materials such as thatch, bamboo and yellowood and the suites are named after the grape varieties once stored in the cellar - Hermitage, Semillon, Muscadel, Hanepoot, Alphonse Lavalle.
