Genaina Guest House & Restaurant

Genaina Guest House is located on the 24 km peg in Bvumba Roavumba, just outside Mutare, within the protected national botanical reserve of Bunga Forest. Genaina is a cosy, stone-built guest house that blends seamlessly within it's natural surroundings. The accommodation is comfortable and elegant, and exudes country living with modern touches.

On offer are three well-appointed bedrooms, each fitted with a large double bed and fully furnished to standard. Two units share a bathroom, while the remaining bedroom has it's own private bathroom. In-room amenities include tea and coffee-making facilities, safes and heaters for those chilly nights. The guest house is fortunate enough to feature its own restaurant, serving guests and locals alike, and patrons can dine within the cosy location or out on the wooden deck overlooking the expansive garden.

Attractions nearby include the Vumba Botanical Gardens, a well-wooded park of landscaped gardens and sheltered walks. The area is lush in fern trees and a immense variety of local flora, and the bird life around the garden and in the reserve attracts a number of visitors. Several species of birds can be recorded while strolling along the many footpaths. Also found in large numbers is the samango monkey which is endemic to the Eastern Highlands.

For those that might require more sport orientated activities, guests can enjoy a round of golf at the Leopard Rock Hotel Golf Course, located in Mutare, just a short drive away.
