Gannabos Guesthouse is situated in Jagersfontein on the R706. It is 110 km southwest of Bloemfontein, along the diamond and water route.
Gannabos offers a fully equipped, self-catering guest house that can serve breakfast and dinner on request. Guests can enjoy the peace and quiet in the beautiful farm-style surroundings. There is one cottage that can accommodate four guests comfortably and one bungalow for two.
There is a wide variety of bird species for the bird lover and game viewing can also be arranged. Other activities include fishing and nature walks.
Jagersfontein was founded in 1871 and has retained the pristine individuality of a flourishing mining village of yesteryear. The first diamond found in the area was by a farmer in 1870, about three years before Kimberley started. The mine is the oldest diamond mine of its kind in the world, and two of the ten biggest diamonds ever found came from Jagersfontein.
