Gunner's Lodge is located in the heart of the Napier village with the old-world charm. This centaury old house offers comfortable serenity and charm with all rooms en-suite including tea and coffee making facilities, DStv. View deck overlooking the Napier valley with beautiful barley, wheat and canola fields in the distance.

The most popular restaurant in the Overberg, Gunner's Mess right next-door, serving good wholesome South African home cooked meals including a large selection of wild game. A pub of note, come and meets some of the characters of the region over a draft pint. The Gunner's Lodge boasts great local cuisine and of course good Coffee. Gunner and Rosemary's new restaurant, the rebuilding of an original trading store of 1870, is due to be completed by July 2004.

Gunner's Lodge offers quality B and B accommodation to all travellers passing through Napier, the principle features of the lodge offering: The lodge has a total of four guest rooms. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms including a family suite with one double room joined with a twin room. All rooms are equipped with DStv multi-channel TV service as well as tea and coffee making facilities.

Breakfast is as selected from an unsparing range and quantity of healthy foods and includes a bottomless cup of coffee. A full guest house service is available on request whereby the guest is supplied with lunch and/or dinner. A large communal lounge with a self-service bar and large-screen TV. Laundry service. Wheel-chair friendly layout. Deck overlooking the valley. Local tours and horse riding arranged on request. On-site certified Tour Guide available by prior arrangement.

We were really impressed, Gunner & Rosemary were perfect hosts. The room was airy, clean & cool (travelling in December). The bathroom was a treat especially the loo with a view! Although they were closed for dinner the evening we stayed they booked us into a really great restaurant right across the street were we had the best pizza ever! The breakfast the next morning was the best.
