Description

Honeymoon casual luxury, romantic hideaways available for you to consider. Built at treetop height, all have awesome amphitheater views of the deep indigenous forest, valleys and mountains surrounding Knysna.

The cottages are stylishly furnished with a natural contemporary feel. The rooms either have queen-size beds or double beds with quality linens. A Jacuzzi/hydro-spa bath, one room has a hydro tub, opens to the gorgeous view from the deck.

We supply invigorating bath goodies and lots of candles for you can use - bubble away and sip on some champagne or wine brought to you. There are also showers in some of the en-suite bathrooms.

The lounges have wood-burning fireplaces, and wood is placed on the deck for purchase. During winter we supply firewood at R50 a grain sack full. DStv and CD players are provided in each cottage. The kitchens are fully equipped for self-catering, including microwaves, small ovens and fridge-freezers. Some units have private courtyards and lapas, where you can really enjoy the forest night calls. All have private decks with tables and chairs, to enjoy the awesome views.

There is a plunge pool to use in the muggy weather, it has all-around seating and overlooks the magnificent views. More barbecue/braai areas are sited here if you want to make a day of it.

The housekeepers service the cottages midway into your stay where they will make beds, wash dishes, and clean Webber barbecues and fireplaces; towels are changed every second day. This excludes Sundays and public holidays.

A winter special runs from May to June, July 15 to 30 July and throughout August. We are on the Cape Town side of Knysna, the lovely forested side. Located 15 km from the centre of town, close to beaches and forests, it is private and safe.

Location: Sited on the edge of deep forest valleys and the mountains surrounding Knysna. The accommodation is situated close to Knysna lagoon and beautiful beaches of Buffalo Bay.

Lavender Edge is a two-bedroom cottage with unspoilt views. It has a big deck, Weber, fireplace and private outdoor shower. The two en-suite bathrooms have showers and baths with stunning views. Sandstone is plush casual luxury. Relax in the hydro-spa bath or take in the stunning views from the sweeping deck. The bedroom has a four-poster queen-size bed, and the lounge area has a sleeper couch for a little one. Plush towels and quality soaps are provided.
