A great location
My husband & I were made to feel comfortable and welcome on our arrival. The accommodation was clean and comfortable; the bed was great! The air con didn't work (?time of year?). We enjoyed sitting on the balcony, reading and enjoying the view of the Indian Ocean and the beach area. Flamingo Lodge is in close proximity to other northern beach communities and to the major motorways ... a great location

Description
Flamingo Lodge is one of Umhlanga Rocks' most distinctive guest lodges with seven tastefully decorated en-suite rooms and one self-catering unit which open out onto private patios. The lodge is situated a mere 200 meters from the main swimming beaches. Flamingo Lodge is situated 30 minutes North of Durban International Airport and only a 10 min drive to Durban city centre, 2 minutes walk to main protected bathing beach and within walking distance to all pubs, restaurants, shopping centres and the vibrant night life. For the sporting enthusiast we are a stone's throw away from the Umhlanga Country Club which offers tennis and bowls facilities. The ski boat club has deep sea fishing trips available on request and scuba diving facilities are close by, or simply just relax and laze at the swimming pool. Children accepted from age of 2, but charged at full adult rate.
