This newly built and designed accommodation venue is situated in the heart of South Africa’s hidden gem, Gordon’s Bay. Five Lions is the perfect venue for budget conscious travellers, couples, families and those wishing to explore the Western Cape.
As a 5 bed roomed (all en-suite) location, Five Lions offers a particularly welcoming atmosphere and is incomparably charming. Accommodation owners, Craig and Joanne Holt will be on hand to assist with your every need and inevitable holiday questions! All our rooms are en-suite with air conditioning and tea/coffee making facilities. The swimming-pool situated in the garden is a the ideal place to cool down, chill and soak up the African sun – whilst of course sampling a bottle of the locally produced (cheap) wines. For the non water-babies, the sun-loungers provide the perfect sunspot to relax in style and catch up on the latest novels. Whatever your desire…Gordons Bay has it! You want beaches? How about one of only 4 “Blue Flag” status beaches in the whole of S.A at nearby Bikini Beach? You want seafood; look no further than the exquisite fresh tuna, prawns and calamari at a number of harbour-side restaurants. You want wine? Our closest vineyard is a mere 10-minute drive away on the start of the quite breathtaking, Stellenbosch wine route. If the sight of the magnificent Southern Right whales is your thing, then you are literally a 5-minute drive from the start of the world famous whale route on Clarence Drive. For the environmentally conscious, healthy, adventurous travellers, we are also located within walking of kilometers of beach that invite you to relax, sail, or surf! We are 3 minutes gentle walk from the clean beaches of False Bay and in a particularly safe and welcoming area of the region.
One can also easily reach several must-see attractions such as the aforementioned wine region of Stellenbosch, Constantia and Franschhoek; Table Mountain National Park; The Cape of Good Hope; Cape Town metropole along with restaurants, shopping and nightlife to rival anywhere in the world! Our seaside village also has to 2 working harbours, home to a number of fine yachts and sailing crafts as well as a range of bars, restaurants, cafes and tranquil chill out spots!
