Description

Firmount Lodge nestles on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountains in an upmarket and peaceful suburb of Somerset West. Our bed and breakfast has exquisite views of the towering mountains and of False Bay with its long beaches. We are within easy travelling distances of all the major attractions and holiday destinations, with some of the most famous wine estates and signature golf courses right on our doorstep.

We offer two garden cottages with fully-equipped kitchens, cosy living areas with snug couches, air-conditioning, and private terraces with tables and chairs. A private entrance from the garden leads into the en-suite guest room in the main house. All rooms feature a television and queen-size bed, and some of the rooms also have lovely views of the mountains and sea.

Spend a lazy afternoon on our 3000 square metre grounds that are lined with palms and trees, or relax next to the crystal clear heated 60 square metre pool. Weather permitting, we breakfast is served on the pool terrace. A walk through our well tended garden is absolute bliss. In the evening enjoy a sizzling barbecue fire, while appreciating magnificent sunsets and the peaceful surrounds.

Firmount Lodge is perfectly situated as a base from which to explore the Winelands, and we will gladly organise car rental and airport transfers. Enjoy outstanding cuisine and fine wines on the surrounding wine farms or visit the neighbouring pristine beaches of False Bay and Gordon's Bay. Golf, whale watching, hiking, and shark diving are just a few of the activities to enjoy in this region. English, German and French are spoken.
