Description
Erwin's Treescape is nestled 5 m off the ground in the branches of a 170 –year-old oak tree. It is fully furnished and equipped, offering an ideal retreat for a couple or a family with up to three children.
The tree house includes a spacious deck and consists of an open-plan lounge, kitchen and bedroom with a bathroom and two loft spaces. There is a triple bunk bed as well as a double bed mattress in one of the lofts. Electric blankets are provided in winter. The other loft can be used as a play area for children or as a storage space for luggage. The bathroom is built around the trunk of the tree with a toilet, vanity and shower. The kitchen has a mini countertop oven, two hotplates, a fridge, kettle and toaster. It is also stocked with all the necessary utensils, cooking equipment, cutlery and crockery for six people. Tea and coffee is provided for your enjoyment and you also have the option to purchase Erwin's famous German sausages and cold meats produced on the farm, as well as fresh free-range eggs.
Campfire and braai facilities in an enclosed boma are located on the ground and firewood is available. The large deck has a fantastic view out over the trees and the stream that runs in front of the tree house, offering the ideal setting to enjoy a late afternoon sundowner whilst listening to the fish eagles nesting close by. Your privacy is guaranteed since you will be the only guests on the farm.
Erwin's Treescape is situated on a beautiful 200 hectare farm in Hidcote, 7 km outside of Mooi River. The tree house is placed in a beautiful natural setting and offers peace and tranquility with the only sounds being those that nature provides. To this end we have purposefully not provided a TV - instead offering magazines, books and games for your pleasure. There are opportunities for walks with a wide variety of bird life as well as fishing in the dams.
At a resort only 3 km away, a variety of outdoor activities can be enjoyed such as golf, tennis, minigolf, bowls, horse riding, swimming and fly fishing. There is also a beauty spa offering a range of treatments for your enjoyment, as well as two restaurants.
