Description
Nestled in the country, 6km from the N3, between Durban and Pietermaritzburg you will find a unique guesthouse on a working agro ecological farm. Accommodation is available as a B&B or self-catering basis. All rooms are en-suite. A major feature of the guesthouse is the dome in the main living area. Here you sit in the lounge with an open fireplace in winter or sit on the "Stoep" overlooking the garden and the farm with a 180-degree view. The bulk of the meals come from the farm, freshly picked and wholesome. This is a working farm so you can experience life amongst the animals or take a stroll in the orchards or orchid houses. Some of the animals include a registered herd of Nguni cattle, endangered Zulu sheep, dogs, old-fashioned poultry and a Spanish Donkey called 'Gundagunda'.
This is an ideal getaway for the businessman traveling between Durban and Pietermaritzburg or for city folk who want a glimpse of country life in a sensual surrounding.
