Facilities

Embizeni is situated on a proclaimed Natural Heritage Site, 17 km from White River on the R40 to Hazyview. We are centrally situated for day visits into Kruger National Park, Blyde River Canyon, Sudwala Caves, Pilgrims Rest and all the splendid waterfalls around Sabie and Graskop.

We offer two double rooms and one family room with four beds, all with en-suite bathrooms. There is also a private lounge cum dining room with digital TV and a fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen and a verandah overlooking a dam. There is a swimming pool and barbeque facilities for guests.

Trails lead one through an interesting collection of plants and trees and a bird watchers paradise. We are situated in a malaria-free zone and safaris can be arranged.

We have enjoyed our stay at Embizeni. A warm welcome from Greg and the staff. The river view and beautiful trees, birds and mountains.

Our first night was disappointing, the accommodation we were allocated was in disrepair and the building was damp and cold. Luckily we moved for our 2nd and 3rd nights. The venue was not three star status. A number of the electrical light switches did not work on our first night.

We arrived at Embizeni on Friday and left on Sunday. The welcome was warm and followed with a tray of tea, juice and biscuits, which made us feel very at home. This kind touch was added even though there were tea making facilities available in the unit. The setting is beautiful in a hidden valley with an overgrown garden which made for a wonderful walk down paths into secret gardens and awe inspiring vistas, The girls said that they would love to go there regularly for holidays. Just is pity it is so far from home! The quiet tranquility of the place made me feel that it is the ideal place for a spiritual retreat. The beds were comfortable and extra blankets were available on request.
