Fantastic,20 August 2008
Above expectations, just fantastic, 5 star accommodation. Geoff is real nice guy - you would not get much more friendliness from someone else.

Wonderful, ,09 June 2008
We were so impressed with Geoff and his staff, this was the best establishment we have ever stayed in. We can fully recommend this place to anyone looking for accommodation in and around the Addo park. The food was great, the ambiance was great. 10/10.

We really enjoyed the stay at the EFL. Geoff and team made us feel at home. And so nice and close to Addo. Very good room.
We make recommendation to people who want to visit SA and the Addo park.

Our restaurant, which serves evening meals, is well-known for its venison. We serve a selection of game ranging from Kudu, Springbok and ostrich and at times we source the very best Zebra, Wildebeest, Impala and Blesbok amongst others.

Description
This cosy lapa-style lodge, nestled under the Addo Heights foothills, offers 12 luxury suites with semi-open plan bathrooms and our Special Feature: open air ‘rock face’ showers, all under thatch.
Unwind on the deck next to our woodland style plunge pool; with a glass of wine chosen from our cellar. Full Continental /English breakfast included in our rate. We are situated 1km off the N2, 30 km from Port Elizabeth & 2km from the Southern Gate (Camp Matyholweni) of the Addo Elephant National Park, close to the Alexandria Dunes, and the village of Colchester, close to the beach and the mouth of the charming Sundays River Valley.
Weather can change from hot in the day to cool in the evening - a warm jacket to be kept handy at all times.
Swimming costume and sunblock essential. Long trousers for evenings. Warm jacket for boat cruises in Autumn and Winter, sometimes in Mid Summer.
The East Cape weather is notoriously variable but the Sunshine Coast is so called as this area boasts the most sunshine hours in S.A.
The temperatures are very mild all year averaging 25 c in summer and 20 c in winter
