El Shaddai Backpackers is a one-hectare property with a swimming pool located in the upmarket Rayton area, next to Heuwelsig.

It is within walking distance from Mizpah Lodge which has various facilities for paintball and horse riding, and offers coffee shops and a conference venue. It is also near to Ilanga Estate.

Three self-catering chalets are available; two of the chalets have two bedrooms which can sleep up to five people.

We arrived there and was welcomed by very friendly staff! They made our stay as nice as possible. The swimming pool was a winner as well, because it was a hot day.

Great stay! Although listed as "backpackers"; El Shaddai can easily be defined as a guest house. Very large old farmhouse, in a beautiful area.

I enjoyed the value-for-money accommodation and prompt response when making the booking online. The only thing: I wish they could improve the curtains at the main glass door of the bachelor's apartment for better privacy.
