You have full use of the garden, gunnite swimming pool and the comfortable sun lounges. The cottage is fully equipped with bar fridge, tea and coffee making facilities as well as satellite television. It opens out onto a large balcony with glorious 180 percent views of the surrounding mountains. You can also enjoy a beautiful Hout Bay mountain sunset with reflections of pink, orange and red on the mountains. Enjoy a quiet sundowner or even a barbeque on your private balcony. The price of the accommodation includes a gourmet breakfast that will tantalize your taste buds.

Wonderful beaches, mountain walks, the quaint Hout Bay fishing harbour, shops, restaurants, bars and golf courses are all very nearby. The city centre and the waterfront are 20 minutes away and it is only 25 minutes to the International Airport. Come and enjoy the many attractions of Cape Town with us.

Your hosts are Hilary a renowned local chef and Adriaan a mountain guide, can offer advice and make the required bookings for the best restaurants in town, massage therapy, yoga, golf, mountain climbing, mountain biking, scuba diving, deep sea fishing and whatever else you are looking for. Both Hilary and Adriaan travelled extensively across Africa and can offer advice and organise travel to big five game reserves, mountain climbing, river rafting, Namibia, Mozambique, Zambia, Botswana, Kenya and Tanzania.

The whole house together with the cottage is also rented out as a holiday villa; this includes four double rooms and three bathrooms, lounge, dining room, fully fitted kitchen and outdoor living/dining/barbeque areas. This is a home away from home - awesome for entertaining, staying at home and enjoying the pool and the sun, wonderful for kids, there is a jungle gym.

El Misti is a home away from home. It is decorated in an African colonial style with a unique vintage fusion of international flavours, which gives it warmth and character. This home sleeps up to eight people in three bedrooms including a main en-suite with king-size bed and a seperate stand-alone en-suite cottage with king-size bed. Other rooms include three bathrooms, a guest restroom, a dining room, a large living area, a breakfast area and a large kitchen and scullery. There is a covered outside verandah and barbeque area with comfortable wicker seating for 10 to 12 people. This is a great area to socialize and enjoy with friends and family. The pool area has wonderful views and comfortable sun loungers. The home is ideally suited for children and families there is a jungle gym and a pool net. The price includes a housekeeper on Monday to Friday from 9am to 1pm. Babysitting can be organised on request. No pets allowed. The minimum stay is 14 nights and the cost ranges between R3000 and R3500 per day depending on the season.

What a gem

What a perfect ending to our holiday. Good location, easy to find, secure parking. We arrived too early, but had a friendly welcome. The cottage is absolutely beautiful and lovingly decorated. A lovely big bathroom with rainshower. Well stocked minibar and tea/coffee making facilities. The attention to details was amazing, there were slippers in the room for you, fresh flowers, daily fresh milk for you tea and coffee. We had a wonderful stay at this absolutely fantastic cottage. The cottage is lovely decorated, has a stunning view to the mountains which you can enjoy from the beautiful patio. The breakfast was very tasty and each morning a nice surprise. We only can recommend everybody to stay at "El Misti" when ever you visit Cape Town and surrounding.
