Eagles Ridge Country House is situated at the foot of the Amatola Mountains and it is the ideal destination for a breakaway. We offer a selection of accommodation units. Each unit has been individually decorated and is unique in style, yet offers access to the same amenities throughout.

The décor of the rooms must receive special mention, as each unit has been given its own unique flair and character. While the flavour is arty with a touch of eccentricity, there is an ethnic feel throughout with no diminishing of the comfort factor, as this is of ultimate importance to us. Each bathroom has been artistically sculpted or carved and brought to life with mosaic art by the artist - Coenie Strydom. These walls each tell their own mysterious story. You are invited to explore our rambling garden, with lawns which sweep down to a wetland bird sanctuary where you can view outdoor ceramic artworks. This is where the peacefulness is truly tangible. Our licensed restaurant and art gallery serves lovingly prepared Euro-Africa fusion cuisine, complimented by organic seasonal vegetables from our garden whenever possible. The art on display is mostly locally produced and includes many of the ceramic creations of the Free Wings Art Studio.

We cannot help but offer warm hospitality to enhance the holiday atmosphere. Come and share an experience of this beloved landmark in Stutterheim, and listen to the stories of days gone by in a friendly environment at the foot of the pristine indigenous Kologha Forest with its magical waterfalls. Visit our traditional huts where members of the local community will share their rich history with you. Through storytelling, as well as song and dance, you will learn more about their culture. Traditional ceremonies are held by arrangement and offer guests an insight into the ancient traditions and practices of the amaXhosa. Feel the rhythm of the drumbeat, join in the dance and be mesmerized by the harmonious tone of the African voice.

We further offer a range of alternative therapies such as drumming and meditation classes on request. There is a conference centre, as well as a separate secluded lounge area which is perfect for private functions, with a sparkling swimming pool and tennis court for your enjoyment. Our perfectly romantic setting is ideal for weddings and other intimate celebrations. Eco-ride Motorbike Trails is based at Eagles Ridge and offer guided trails in the area.
