Description

Dwarsberg Trout Hideaway is the perfect place for functions, fly fishing and family getaways. We offer conference facilities with Wi-Fi Internet access for corporate functions. The idyllic and natural setting makes us popular for intimate weddings, as well as private functions.

There are seven campsites on the banks of the Holsloot River, which are equipped with ablution facilities, warm water and five of these sites have electricity. They can accommodate groups of 20 people per campsite. The five fully equipped, self-catering units can accommodate up to 33 people sharing. All chalets are supplied with cutlery, crockery, cooking utilities, two-plate stoves, fridges with freezers, microwaves, kettles, toasters, braai grids, bedding and towels.

Dwarsberg Trout Hideaway offers a big screen TV with DStv for those sports events that are not to be missed, on request, and the terrace overlooks the beautiful mountain and river. Cool off in the crystal clear river pool or enjoy mountain biking and hiking on the trails. Trout fishing is available at an extra cost. Wine tasting and cellar tours are at the nearby Daschbosch Wine Cellar and this can be prearranged. Holsloot River supplies the nearby town of Worcester with its water and it creates a tailwater fishery, ensuring a constant supply of cool water in the Cape’s hot and dry summers when other rivers in the area become too warm for trout fishing.

Character: We offer rustic farm cottages under a grove of oak trees, on a working wine and fruit farm. There are campsites on the banks of the Holsloot River.

Family: Enjoy the crystal clear river to cool off in during our hot summer months. Bring the kids' bicycles along and don't forget the fly fishing gear. Our 10 km single track is a must for every cyclist.

Great Outdoors: Enjoy hiking, mountain biking, bird watching and fishing which are all easily accessible.

Wedding Venues: The idyllic and natural setting makes us popular for intimate weddings, as well as private functions.

Conference venue: Conference facilities include Wi-Fi Internet, a projector screen, flip charts, mints and water. A projector available.
