Description

About one and three-quarters of an hour drive from Cape Town, 25 km from Citrusdal village, the "Die Vlei” farm surrounded by mountains and situated in the upper river region toward the Grootwinterhoek Wilderness area with its three Homely Cottages and camp area right on the banks of the Oliphants river. The farm is a working Citrus and rooibos Farm and Kobus the farm owner also has a variety of Antelope close to his house. Enjoy swimming, fishing or canoe hire on the river or go for a hike via a beautiful gorge in the mountains near the camp. There is a 4x4 route also close by.

These three homely Cottages have been created for you to unwind and relax on the river edge with natural silence and views of Mountains, river, breathtaking sunsets and an abundance of bird life. Each Cottage is situated on grass right on the banks of the river at big swimming hole and consist of a one bedroom cottage with separate bathroom and big veranda with views over swimming hole, Mountains and river valley with western sunset views. The Cottage has four beds with bedding and all your utensils to cook and braai Check list of all included is provided on booking. You only have to bring food - The panoramic views on offer from your private cottage while having a siesta or braai from your terrace includes swim area includes, evergreen plants, river with big swim hole which all is surrounded with weird Sandstone formations and at night time unbelievable starry skies.

Each Cottage also has its own electricity plug points, chairs, table, braai grid with utensils. For private bigger groups please advise size of group and budget. Music is not allowed unless the whole campsite is booked out.
