Description

Didimala Game Lodge was designed with the executive in mind, providing luxury, comfort and sophisticated conference facilities in a bushveld setting. Didimala means 'keep the secret', and we have adopted an unassuming presence where we quietly make every effort to provide service excellence to our valued clients.

Created from 10 000 wheat straw bales, the lodge and its buildings are extraordinarily beautiful. Didimala was the first recorded straw bale structure in Africa registered with the International Straw Bale Registry
Project.

Situated a little more than an hours drive north from the Sandton CBD, we are perfectly located. We focus on providing our guests with an exceptionally natural and organic venue for large gala functions or intimate boardroom and conferencing meeting facilities.

Character: In the construction of Didimala a system of post-beam thatch roof with a mixture of brick and straw bale walls was employed. It is an outstanding example of what can be achieved using alternative building methods.
