Description
Almost halfway from Nieuwoudtville to the farm Papkuilsfontein, you will find the De Lande Guesthouse. This country-style guest house is set in a fascinating landscape where three vegetation types and their respective geological formations converge, namely the Renosterveld, succulent Karoo and dolerite.
The generous proportions of this typical Karoo-style farm house accommodates eight people with ease and comfort. There are four comfortable en-suite rooms, one with a double bed and three with twin beds. The rooms and bathrooms are fitted with wall heaters and electric blankets are provided for the cold nights.
In the winter months, the spacious lounge with fireplace offers comfort and warmth in the evenings, while the cosy sunroom, on the east side of the house, is the perfect setting for a delicious breakfast. In summer, the shady stoep/veranda and spacious rooms keep the house cool and refreshing. Sip your sherry around the fire or on the stoep before sitting down to a renowned three course dinner.
