Facilities

Dagbreek Gastehuis is situated on a working farm just outside of Villiers, on the R54. We offer two comfortable bedrooms which share one bathroom and guests can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere on the farm, with no traffic noise to intrude.

The little town of Villiers just makes it into the Free State as it lies practically on the border with Mpumalanga, east of the Vaal Dam. Villiers is located just off the N3, which is a major highway through the Free State; it brings visitors to the town more frequently than other little Free State towns that lie off the beaten track.

The town has historical value as it lies at a crossing over the Vaal River, which gives it status in terms of transport between Durban and Johannesburg. The town has some wonderful examples of restored sandstone buildings and a magnificent church in the centre of the town.

Dit was aangenaam en stil. Het dit baie geniet. Mike en stella was baie vriendlik. Hul gasvreiheid was so lekker ons sal weer gaan. Ons het lekker gerus en lekker vleis gebraai. Sal dit aanbeveel vir oorslaap. Dit is bekostigbaar. Bikers jul mag maar gaan kuier hulle hou van bikes.

Our stay at Dagbreek Guesthouse was nice. Its very quite and perfect if you are looking to get away from the city noise. Nice if you just want to spend a night on a road trip. Friendly service. A bit expensive for what you get. But was still a nice stay and yummy breakfast.

The place really needs a lot of TLC. Paint would be a good idea. I think the carpets needs to be replaced. Each room needs its own toilet, bathroom. Hospitality was good. A place with a lot of potential.
