Whether your interests are fly-fishing, hiking, bird-watching or simply enjoying the surrounding indigenous beauty, you will find solace here. Your hosts offer generous yet discreet hospitality. The Kruger National Park is approx. 1 1/2 hours drive to the closest gates and the Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport is just more than an hour away from Cranes Nest.
Our superb accommodation is either on a catered or self-catering basis. Guinea Fowl Lodge, Eagle Owl Cottage or one of our unique Bush Chalets are sure to delight you and meet with our guests' varied requirements. At Malapeng Restaurant – meaning “Place of the Old Walls” – you will enjoy fine dining amongst ancient ruins where candles set the atmosphere for romantic memories. We cater for groups of 8 plus - this unique venue is perfect for exclusive functions - Rosemarie's specialty!
Enjoy the unsurpassed beauty of the mountainous countryside and appreciate a magnificent sunset from the rim-flow swimming pool. Stop over or stay a while and share this peaceful paradise. A true retreat where two rivers run through the estate. Cranes Nest Mountain Lodge captures a true African country feel where guests become our friends. We care!
