Absolutely peaceful,21 January 2008
The right place for a stopover between Cape Town and before the bustle of being back home in Jozi. The rooms are large. The cottage is huge. The meals were absolutely delicious and we were called early on in the day to find out if we were okay, confirming our bookings and meal requirements. Playing pool with the family was fun as well as relaxing in the communal lounge. Ample parking. And a baby buck still being fed from a bottle. Everyone there was very friendly. We are situated on the R58 between Gariep dam and Venterstad. We have 15 rooms and 3 self catering cottages, one can sleep 7 people one sleep 6 people and one sleeps 5 people. We have a lot of birds on the farm bird lovers will have a lot to see.
The bedrooms have a sleeper couch if children want to share a room with their parents.
We have the Gariep Dam about 15km from us. There you can go fishing., they also have boat trips on the Gariep dam. We can also arrange a tour through the dam wall. About 20km from us there is a game reserve as well. On the farm we have a Buffalo camp where we can take you by arrangement.
Why stay at Crane Cottage: It is a very peacefull farm, no traffic bothering you at night.We have a save lock up parking. and every room is en suite and very private. We have a real farm dam for the children wich they enjoy very much. The rooms are very spacious . We keep our place very clean and we also supply towels, coffee and tea in the rooms. We do give value for your money and I am sure if you have slept with us once you will tell your family and friends about us.
