Coral Reef Lodge

The pictures on the website in no way reflect the reality of this establishment. Expect a dirty street outside with water running over cigarette butts, broken bottles and other junk. The front door bell was not working so I had to shout for someone to let me in. I entered the dark, dingy reception to find I was not expected. The young manager on duty was very pleasant and found me a room which was via an outside courtyard and through a dark, curtain drawn lounge area in a separate building at the back of the lodge and had a strong scent of moth balls. The room was not what I had expected from the website. It was dingy and the bed was hard, the duvet thin, the sheets stained and full of holes. I asked for another room only to be told that I this was the best room they had. I was in East London for a conference and needed internet connectivity. I was told that their computer was away for repairs and would be available the next day. I decided to check out and find other accommodation. Coral Reef Lodge is suited for a traveller with very basic needs.

I enjoyed myself at your place. The service was out of this world and what I like most about your place is that it is so quiet.
