This out of Africa home offers 360-degree sea and mountain views. Cocagne is an environment friendly house, hand crafted with natural materials only and is designed based on principles of sacred geometry. It is an earthy home set in beautiful natural settings in the heart of the Cape Floral Kingdom.

Cocagne has a relaxing atmosphere and is very private. You feel far away from it all, yet have all the conveniences of town right on your doorstep. Stay in one of the self-contained rooms with private entrance, or rent the entire residence and enjoy your home away from home.

A holiday at Cocagne is a wonderful way to spend time with your family. Your children will love the solar-heated swimming pool and the mountain to explore. Cocagne is the home of author and travel writer Petra Vandecasteele and nature photographer Paul Godard. It is centrally located within a radius of one minute to one hour of the main tourist attractions and only 45 minutes from Cape Town International Airport. Shopping and restaurants are just down the road, as is the beautiful beach.

Gordon's Bay is a delightful picturesque village that is regularly visited by whales, dolphins and seals, and the beaches are safe for children.

We enjoyed our holiday with Petra, Paul and family very much, we were made to feel most welcome. The accommodation is in a beautiful location, with lovely garden and pool, and our rooms were very comfortable.
