Chrismar Hotel Livingstone

The hotel is nice and comfortable. There are two pools. One large pool with a poolbar that is very nice. The rooms have proper size, are clean and comfortable. The personel is friendly. The restaurant offers delicious food and drinks. We could watch the cook while cooking our meal. The kitschen also looks quite clean. Yet when we were there, about half of the food was not available, so that we had only a very reduced menu. If you do not have a rental car, unfortunately, the only way to leave the lodge is to use one of the quite expensive taxis that are organized by the personell. The biggest disadvantage is that the rooms do not have a moskito-net. Although, I covered my whole body with insect repellant, in the morning, I counted about 10 new moskito bites.

Had a good one night stay at Chrismar. Location and grounds are very pleasant and staff were enthusiastic.

What a disaster! Sub-standard hotel for the rates we paid. NO management involvement, staff not trained and the rooms is pathetic. The only words towards the food! BAD. Overall, what a disaster! Hope I never have to experience this ever!

I'm sorry for the experience you had at our hotel. Your experience opened my eyes to some changes I needed to make regarding to the staff and I thank you for that. I'm just sorry it had to come at your expense. I heard your advice and took it whole-heartedly and already made some changes between demotions and getting rid of some of the "bad apples." I know that this doesn't fix anything you went through, but I find it imperative to let you know that I am taking the necessary action to prevent such occurrences to happen in the future. We enjoyed our stay very much. Nice and quiet. Access to all activities in this area. Good booking service for activities. Recommend for couples or families.
