Description
Chestnut Country Lodge is situated in the beautiful Kiepersol district 10 kms from Hazyview and boasts magnificent mountain and valley views. Set on 50 hectares of indigenous bush-land, the lodge offers eight standard double or twin-bedded rooms, four luxury suites and the chestnut suite offering accommodation for up to 26 guests.
All of the rooms are individually and tastefully decorated and all have en-suite bathrooms. The luxury suites are more spacious and provide a separate lounge area within the room and an en-suite bathroom with separate bath and shower. The chestnut suite is ideal for honeymoon couples and romantic week-end getaways and offers a king size bed and a lounge area with a sumptuous leather lounge suite. The bathroom has his and hers basins and a bath for two. The privately enclosed patio has an outside shower ideal to cool off on those hot African summer nights.
Dine by candle-light each evening and enjoy country cuisine using fresh herbs and seasonal produce. Soak up the sun on the wooden deck surrounding the large swimming pool with superb views and brilliant bird life.
The nearby Panorama Route offers the traveller beautiful scenic surroundings, waterfalls and walking trails. The spectacular Blyde River Canyon and 23 Rondawels are a must to see along with Bourkes Luck Potholes and God's Window. Enjoy the many adventure activities available in the area from hot-air ballooning, horse-riding, quad-biking, golfing, river-rafting, or enjoy a Safari into the nearby Kruger National Park led by an experienced game ranger.
