Description

Conveniently situated in walking distance to shops, banks, restaurants. It is five minutes to the centre of Durban, 5 kms to stadium and beaches and 30 minutes from the airport.

Your hostesses, Charisse and Anita Shepherd, world travelers themselves, whose motto is, we aim to please, ensure a safe, comfortable, homely environment and guarantee they will do everything for you to have a memorable stay at Chelmsford House.

We offer eight rooms, each named after flowers, all are en-suite, air-conditioned, ceiling fans, with views of Durbans' Harbor, the very large pool, braai facilities and secure parking.

Self-catering options are available and we have a large dormitory room suitable for sports teams, group bookings or international backpackers. A full English and Continental breakfast is served. Evening meals, transfers, laundry, internet, available on request.

Assistance with car hire, tours and general information regarding Durban and surrounds.

Very pleasant

We had a very pleasant stay at Chelmsford House. Hospitality was excellent. Charisse and her mom Anita were excellent hosts and the breakfast was superb! This guest house is convienently close to St Augestines hospital and is also very close to restaurants and everything we needed.

We really enjoyed our stay.

We were made to feel welcome right from the very moment we arrived. The B&B is very beautiful with lovely spacious rooms and a big pool. It is close to the beach and shopping centre which was very convenient for us.

Charisse and Anita are fantastic hosts. They were very helpful to us with directions and advice. We were made to feel at home and part of the family. Charisse and Anita are very concerned about the well-being and safety of their guests. I would return to Chelmsford House.
