A very pleasant and relaxed stay at Carters Lodge. Nothing is ever too much trouble for Carol and her staff. Rooms are very clean and comfortable with a lot of little extras (we enjoyed the chocolate at bed time) Would definitely go again and would highly recommend.

From the outset we were made very welcome both by proprietor Carol and her staff. They went out of their way to assist us with local directions and restaurants and with taxi firms. Carol is very knowledgeable about the Durban area and places to go and was able to give us plenty of information in this regard. It was nice to see a feminine touch in the bedroom. All in all an excellent establishment which I thoroughly recommend to anyone on business or leisure.

Carter's is a very quite and safe place to relax. Closer to the malls, beaches and a very central place. The rooms are beautiful and indeed we were not dissapointed. The breakfast was good and indeed generous.

All bedrooms are air-conditioned and ensuite and they have their own entrance leading in from the garden. They are equipped with TV with M-Net and DSTV, Tea & Coffee facilities, Bar Fridge, Hair Dryer, Safe and Ceiling Fan. The linen is white Percale and the towels are of good quality.
Breakfasts are hearty, offering a full continental of cereals and fresh fruit and fruit juices, cold meats and cheeses and home-baked muffins and breads, as well as an English style cooked breakfast.
There is secure off-street parking and each room has its own security.
Major credit cards are accepted, except Diners Club.
