Capricorn Rest Camp

Capricorn Rest Camp is situated next to the Naukluft Mountains, making it an ideal stop-over en route from Windhoek to Sossusvlei or from the South to the coast. The four bungalows are all equipped with twin beds, private shower and toilet, terrace, barbecue facilities, and electrical lights. Parking places are also provided close to the bungalows.

We are located just 40 km from the entrance to the Naukluft Mountain Park - D854 and the camp is a good starting point or a comfortable basis for any excursion into this fascinating park, whether it be a hiking or a 4x4 trail. The rest camp is only 136 km from Sesriem, with its famous Sossusvlei and the Sesriem Canyon.

Guests can settle in and enjoy the view from the terrace of the bungalow and relax after a long day's driving, or they can take a botanical walk and discover the numerous indigenous plants of the region. There are also a variety of birds from the Namib Desert, Naukluft Mountains, and central Namibia.

We provide four camp sites with shadow netting, barbecue facilities, benches and tables, with a communal ablution block. Breakfast, cold lunch, and dinner are served at the terrace or in the dining room. A sundowner at the Naukluft view point or at the bar would be the real highlight of your stay with us. We speak English and German.
