Facilities

Due to its elaborate décor Cañon Roadhouse has almost acquired cult status in Namibia: the good old days of the automobile are celebrated with great attention to detail.
Cañon Roadhouse, located just 14 km from the main gate to the main viewing point at the Fish River Canyon, offers 20 very neat en-suite rooms, an à la carte restaurant with terrace, a bar, a petrol station and an information centre. Take a refreshing dip into the pool or enjoy a slice of our legendary Amarula cheesecake. For alfresco fans there are beautiful camping sites which allow for privacy.

Creative decor, friendly staff and comfortably furnished rooms near the Fish River Canyon! Had a lovely stay! Food was great, the oryx steak is a must!

What a lovely welcome received from all staff, exepcially their receptionist Maylene. A wounderful experience and a great place to end ones Jorney in Namibia, esecially if you are into old memorabilia. Concerns were address promptly by their untiring manager Agnes who always had time to chat to all guests and was ever present.

For a first stop on a first trip to Namibia, this was a great place to stay. The old vehicles around the property - even reception was a converted lorry - made for fascinating and unique surroundings and the staff were all helpful attentive and pleasant. For my husband's 72nd birthday, there were fresh flowers on the breakfast table and a birthday cake presented by a group of staff singing at dinner, which made the day. We would recommend this place as a 'must'!
