Camp Kwando

Nestled on the banks of the Kwando River in the Eastern Caprivi, Camp Kwando invites you to come and explore the beautiful treasures of an untamed land. We offer various accommodation types such as Island Tents, Camp Sites and Tree Houses.

The island boasts 12 thatched tents, each one with two beds. All beds have mosquito nets. Built on poles with a deck overlooking the river, these bungalows will allow you to do some fishing from the deck. The thatched roofs guarantee good thermal regulation, not too hot in the summer and not too cold in the winter. Every tent has an outside shower with a canvas roof over, en-suite bathroom with shower to enjoy the surrounding nature. Electricity is provided at key times by a generator and the bathrooms are lit by way of paraffin lights.

The campsites are situated between the main building and the island. The surface is covered by grass and beautiful trees provide shade during the hotter hours of the day. The facilities provide showers with hot and cold water, toilets and basins, as well as a place to do your laundry.

Four larger chalets on stilts/tree houses are also available on higher ground; the poles are made of wood and canvas along with thatched roofs. Conveniently placed in the middle of the trees, they allow for a beautiful view of the Botswana plains. Each tree house has a large and stylish bedroom, en-suite bathroom, as well as an expanding deck.

When the excitement of the bush wanes, between game drives and swamp boat trips, our swimming pool is there for use - filtered and clean.
